"My sisters husband unfortunately died in May and my sister was unable to care for herself due to early dementia. I took my sister to several assisted living facilities to tour them and she was extremely resistant to moving out of her home. I had to allow her to fail in her own home so she could see she needed help.
Her room was completely remodeled with new flooring and walls painted. She even has a door leading outside on her own patio. When filled her room with her own furniture and furnishings. I called her after her first night and asked how it went. She said “ I turned over in the middle of the night and saw my chair and my room and smiled and It’s mine!” She now tells me every time I ask her “ I am very content here”."
